As for the first ad.. tbf women still talk about each other's (and men's) dressing habits this harshly.

And the main thing I took away, way more than "ehmergehd, people used to be sexist!", is that people had thicker skin and were communicating in a way more straightforward manner. Now it's like "What's wrong friend/honey/my boss" "Uh, nothing" and then friendship ends, relationship ends in divorce and you get fired.
