Team 152's favorite facts from your video were.....seeing the golden dragon bringing good luck, the big lit up, colorful dragon, the Chinese calendar was interesting, the lantern festival, the bright, lit up festival decorations, the lucky Chinese envelopes, and the Chinese calendar being based on the sun and moon! Thank you for the educational video our classroom enjoyed it!!

Chinese calendar is very accurate. It can accurately calculate the full rotations of the Earth around the sun.

Our favorite fact was that the Gregorian calendar is based on the sun and the Chinese calendar is Lunarsolar. So interesting! Thanks!

I'm only celebrating Chinese New Year next year because I was born in 2007, the year of the fire pig, and 2019 is the year of the Earth pig. I'm watching this for research to celebrate it.

This new year should be "Lunar New Year 農曆新年" as it is also applied in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and Mongolia....etc. So Chinese people and we Asians have never said "Chinese New Year" but "Lunar New Year 農曆新年" always.

You are lying, in Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, they all call it Chinese New Year in English. And Mongolia has its own calendar, they don't use lunar calendar.

    • Chauncey Billups
      Chauncey Billups 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@Homeschool Pop I think this video introduce the Chinese culture, not other Asia culture. So if we called it Lunar new year, the others would misunderstand that Lunar new year is a unique festival in China. So just call it Chinese new year.

    • Chauncey Billups
      Chauncey Billups 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@Homeschool Pop Lunar New year in China is Chinese new year. In Korea is Korean new year. And lunar new year comes from China, So call it Chinese new year is right.

it's Chinese new year, we have always said that,Lunar calendar is also Chinese

    • Roger Whittemore

Agreed. The video and titles need to be revised to reflect "Lunar" rather than "Chinese."

We really like learning that lanterns are hung up during the last day of the festival and that the lanterns are red because red is considered a good luck color.
