Would you ever do a video on what a Quinjet from the Marvel universe would fly like? Or if it’s design is even close to reasonable?

They do this for fun and looks, even birds doesnt have backward wings because its against the flow of the system of flying on earth. We only see this in scifi movies flying in space and other planets having different atmosphere.😂😂😂

I'll admit. This is probably the hardest to understand THclips video I've watched, and there's nothing wrong with the presentation.

how have i been watching videos and movies with planes, as well as learning about lift since i was 11, yet have never seen footage of a planes wings flexing from lift.

Facts are very good in the video, but at 6:20 about wing tip stall. It's not just about ailerons being stalled, if only one wing tip stalls it will produce a very large moment arm and very forcefully roll the aircraft. So for this reason wings are specifically designed to stall (and are better to stall) at the root where lift is lost with minimal roll effect.

I've actually wondered this ever since I built a model, x-29, that had reverse wings. I wasn't sure if they had printed the graphics wrong. Apparently, I never thought to check on this. Now I know. Weird how life goes full circle after like 27 years.

Misleading title as the wings aren't backwards. The wing still has a leading edge and a tailing edge. A wing by definition doesn't say anything about being angled ahead, to the side or to the back "swept".

I suppose that airflow not flowing perpendicular to eleron causes worse control, but what changes with reversed wings, doesn't they have elerons, that are also at the steep angle to upcoming wind?

I thought the problem with the P-38 was caused by the front and rear wings being located along the same line on the plane. This meant at high speed the front wing split the air, which didn't come back together in time for the rear wing to make use of it.

It's definitely true we can make an amazing forward swept wing fighter with current technology, but current fighter doctrine favors long range BVR stealth combat over the close in dogfight which the FSW specializes in.
In the civilian market they're just too expensive .
